Welcome to November...

Now that Halloween is over....it's time to start getting ready for....
CHRISTMAS!!!!!

We had a good Halloween.
Kids got more candy then they know what to do with.
Will probably be eating it all till Easter, lol.
It was so cold saturday night that both the kids had to wear big bulky sweaters under their costumes.
But they had fun & that's all that counts.

Today was 1st day of day care for both of them.
Emma goes full day.
Nathan goes before & after school.
He loved it.
She did really well but towards the end of the day she had a bit of an issue & wasn't following direction very well. She was super tired.
She started to cry & ask to go home but the teacher took her aside & talked to her a little & all ended up being good.
When we got home she was so super tired that she kept flipping back & forth, saying she didn't want to go back to day care, then she did, then she didn't, then she did, lol!
She's going back Wednesday.
Hopefully she gets used to the routine & won't be so tired after this week.

Nathan did just fine.
No issues with him.

So my children are officially done when it comes to Christmas.
I have 2 nieces left to buy for & a small thing for my hubby & that's it!
All done!! can't wait to start wrapping it all.
Of course I won't be doing that for a few weeks yet, since really the only place to hide things anymore is our garage attic.
So that's where a lot of the stuff is now & I won't be asking my hubby to go up & down & get it down before it's time. Plus the paper may rip too.

Well... I'm sick & I'm heading off to bed.

Ghouls, ghosts, pumpkins, candy & all that jazz....

So you ready for Halloween??

Photobucket
Not my best work but this is what happens when one doesn't use a stencil.
This guy looks more like a Transformer then Spiderman. Oh well...

So he got carved tonight.
Tomorrow night we're going to carve Emma's pumpkin & saturday, mine.

Tomorrow is orange & black day at school for Nate.
We also bought candy & goody bags to fill for all the kids in his class.
I must say I'm very proud of him for doing all that himself.
I told him all bags get 2 suckers, 2 Rockets & 1 chocolate bar.
He filled 26 bags & not 1 was wrong :)
Now, I don't know how many kids in his class, I figure about 20 so I'd rather have too much then not enough. Plus he wanted 1 for his teacher too.

Tomorrow night we're also going to stay up late to watch Monsters Vs Aliens.
I'm excited. I wanted to see that at the movies but Nathan didn't want to go.
Now he's ready to watch it.
We'll have popcorn & we'll make it a family movie night :)

Well, as of monday, Nathan is no longer taking the bus.
He's going into the before/after school program at the school daycare & Emma is going into the full day daycare.
She's so excited & so looking forward to it.
She is so ready for interaction with others.
I took a peek at their schedule of activities & I think she'll love it.
She's so wise beyond her age, she should be going to JK in September but she was born 3 weeks after the cut off date, so now she has to wait 1 more year.
For the rest of this school year she's only going to daycare 2x a week.
It's more to get her feet wet & guarantee her a full time spot for next year.
Did I say she's so excited??? lol!
I'm actually excited for her. I think she's bored at home by herself anymore.
She truly is 2 going on 12...I'm not kidding.
Daycare might be good for that too, lol.

The other day I was outside talking to my neighbor & Emma was playing around us.
I forget what she said but that was followed by me saying "I forget she's 2 most of the time" to my neighbor.
My neighbor looks at her & says "Emma, say I'm 2, I'm 2"
She looks at him, gives him this weird look, smirks & says "you're not 2!" lmao!
Classic Emma.

Happy Halloween everyone!!!!

Back to work....

Kids with some friends trick or treating early.
Every year stores at a nearby plaza give away candy to celebrate Trick or Treating & every year we've gone so far.
Turn out this year was much lower & less people were giving away chocolate bars & more suckers instead.
That's ok, kids still had lots of fun.

Well, tomorrow will be 3 weeks since my surgery & also my 1st day back to work.
I chose to go back early since I feel so good and cannot justify sitting at home.
Since I have a desk job anyway, there is no chance of me over doing it & hurting myself.
There is more of a chance of that here, since I can't sit still & keep doing things around the house, lol.
